[T310] Why Printer Light Flashes Red

When using the T310 printer, the printer does not feed paper and prints, and the printer flashes red light. The reasons are as follows.

1.The Printer does not Record the Paper Size

After replacing paper of different specifications in the printer, the printer may not record the current paper size.

1.1 Perform Paper Correction Operation

1.1.1 Cancel the Current Printer Job on the Computer or Mobile Phone
Please refer to the following article to cancel the printer job:
(The operation steps are basically the same as those for the PM-241BT printer, but be sure to select the T310-BT printer when downloading and installing the driver and selecting the driver settings.)

1.1.2 Key Operation Calibration Paper
Turn off the printer and restart it. When the printer is in standby mode (blue light), press and hold the paper feed button for about 3 seconds. Release the paper feed button after the purple light turns on. The printer will automatically perform paper correction.

1.1.3 Observe the Paper Outlet
The following status indicates that the paper correction is successful:
Gap paper: The paper stays at the gap position.

 

Continuous paper: Stop after feeding for a while.

Black mark paper: The paper stays at the center line of the black mark.


2. Run Out of Paper

2.1 Replace the Paper Roll

2.1.1 Cancel the Current Printer Job on the Computer or Mobile Phone

2.1.2 Install a New Paper Roll

2.1.3 Restart the Printer
Turn off the printer and restart it, short press the paper feed button, and the printer will output a piece of paper.

Note: If you are installing a new paper roll of different specifications, you need to perform paper calibration after installation.

3. Ribbon Runs Out

A silver page on the ribbon indicates that the ribbon is exhausted.

3.1 Replace the Ribbon

3.1.1 Cancel the Current Printer Job on the Computer or Mobile Phone

3.1.2 Install New Ribbon

4. Paper Type/Size/Gap Settings Do not Match Actual Paper

4.1 Printing PDF/Images Directly

Please check and set the correct paper type, size, gap or black mark height value on the driver (continuous paper does not need to be set).
You can use the following figure to determine the type of paper you are currently usingļ¼š







4.1.1 Windows Driver Checking
Open the control panel and check the paper type set in the printer driver as shown in the figure:


4.1.2 Mac Driver Checking
Select a label file, open it using the printer device, and then operate as shown in the figure below:






4.2 Printing with Editing Software

Please check and set the correct paper type, size, gap or black mark height value on the editing software (continuous paper does not need to be set).

Note: When using black mark paper or gap paper, be sure to check that the paper types correspond.

5. Gap Sensor is Stuck with Label

5.1 Cancel the Current Printer Job on the Computer or Mobile Phone

5.2 Check Gap Sensor

Check if there is a label stuck on the gap sensor, and remove any labels that are stuck on it, turn off the printer and restart it.


If the Problem Still Persists

If the issue remains unresolved, please provide the following information for further analysis:
1. Printing method of the printer. (computer or mobile phone, specific system information; whether to use Labelife software for printing)
2. A specific abnormal video of a printer flashing red light.
3. Clear photos of gap sensor                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               
4. Order number and purchase date.
