Printing accurate labels is essential for managing inventory and ensuring smooth shipping. This guide explains how to print both product SKU labels and shipping labels for FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) and FBM (Fulfillment by Merchant).
1. Printing FBA Product ASIN labels
SKU labels (FNSKU) are used to identify individual products sent to Amazon fulfillment centers.
1.1 Access Label Printing:
Go to Inventory > Manage FBA Shipments.
Find the SKU you have added and select Print Item Label in the edit box on the right
Set Label Specifications:
Choose the label size (commonly 1” x 2-5/8” or 2” x 3”). Ensure your thermal printer matches the selected label type.
Tip: If your label size is smaller than minimums required by Amazon, just scale both Width and Height together. For example, if your label is 20mm x 20mm, you can enter 40mm x 40mm
1.2 Print the Labels:
Download the PDF and use label printing software or print directly via browser.
Please remember to select the print size that matches your actual printing paper.
For FBM
Amazon does not inherently require FBM (Fulfilled by Merchant) sellers to print SKU labels unless it's part of their specific workflow, such as inventory management or order processing. However, Amazon provides features for FBM sellers to generate and print labels, including SKU and shipping labels, through the Seller Central interface. These labels can be helpful for internal tracking, warehouse organization, or specific product requirements.
If an FBM seller wants to use SKU labels for better organization or shipping purposes, they can find the option to print them under the Inventory Management or Order Management sections of their Seller Central dashboard. However, this is entirely optional for FBM sellers unless specified for particular use cases, such as adhering to specific customer or marketplace requirements
2. Printing Shipping Labels(box labels)
For FBA
Shipping labels identify the cartons or pallets for Amazon warehouses.
Prepare the Shipment:
- In Seller Central, go to Manage FBA Shipments and create a shipment plan.
- Enter carton dimensions and weights for all packages.
Generate Shipping Labels:
-Select the carrier (e.g., Amazon Partnered Carriers).
-Review and approve shipping costs.
-Download the shipping labels in a 4” x 6” format.
3. Print and Apply Labels:
Please remember to select the print size that matches your actual printing paper.
For FBM
Shipping labels are used to fulfill orders directly from the seller to customers.
Access the Order Management Page:
- Navigate to Orders > Manage Orders.
- Click Buy Shipping for the relevant order.
Enter Shipping Details:
-Provide accurate package dimensions and weight.
-Choose a carrier and shipping service.
3. Print the Label:
-Download the label in PDF format.

Please remember to select the print size that matches your actual printing paper.
