Before using ShipStation, please make sure the shipping label printer has the driver installed and successfully printed a test page. Click the article below to complete this step:

1. How to Add a Printer

To print labels, pick lists, and packing slips, you first need to set up your printer in ShippingEasy.

Steps to Add Your Printer:

  1. Log in to ShippingEasy and go to the Shipping tab.
  2. Set Up ConnectEasy (Recommended):
    • Download and install ConnectEasy, ShippingEasy’s printing tool, from your account settings.
    • Once installed, configure it to recognize your printer.
  3. Assign Your Printer:
    • Navigate to Settings > Print Settings.
    • Under the “ConnectEasy Printers” section, select your installed printer and specify the type of documents it will handle (e.g., shipping labels, packing slips).

Without ConnectEasy
All printed output is default sent to a PDF file if ConnectEasy has never been used. When you print to PDF, a new browser tab will open to display your document, and you must then choose to print again from your browser via the print icon or command.
 
   1. Assign Your Printer:
      Navigate to Settings > Hareware & Devices > Printers > Printer Configuration.


  2.Select the type of label that the printer will print
      Select the printer (and computer) pairs you want to use, and assign the necessary carrier labels and document types to your printer using the radio buttons on the right. This will send each selection to the matching printer or PDF.




2. How to Print Pick Lists

Pick lists summarize the items that need to be packed for multiple orders, making it easier to streamline the packing process.

Steps to Set Up and Print Pick Lists:

  1.Set Up Pick List Preferences:
    Go to Settings > Pick Lists.
      Choose the format and information to display, such as item SKU, quantity, or warehouse location.
  2.Generate a Pick List:
     From the Orders page, select the orders you want to include in your pick list.Click the Pick & Pack button and select Pick List.

  3.Print the Pick List:
      Once the pick list is generated, click Print or send it to your configured printer.

3. How to Print Packing Slips

Packing slips provide an itemized list of products included in a shipment, offering clarity to customers and minimizing packing errors.

Steps to Set Up and Print Packing Slips:

    1.Set Up Packing Slip Templates:
      Navigate to Settings > Packing Slips.
      Customize the template to include your logo, business information, or order details.
   2.Print Packing Slips for Unshipped Orders:
     On the Orders page, filter for unshipped orders.
     Select the orders, then click the Pick & Pack button and choose Packing Slips.
  3.Batch Print Packing Slips:
    For bulk printing, select multiple orders and click Batch Print to generate packing slips for all selected orders.

  1.Verify Label Size and Printer Settings:

    Go to Settings > Label Sizes & Printing Options > Labels and confirm your label size matches your printer’s capabilities (e.g., 4"x6").

  2.Batch Printing:

     Select multiple orders from the Orders page and click Create Labels to print labels for all orders at once.

  3.Reprint Labels:

    If a label fails to print, go to the Shipment History tab and select the order to reprint the label.
