How to View the Printer's Print Job Log

When the printer's printing work is abnormal, the printer parameters and data in the work log can be used to understand the specific working conditions of the printer.

1. Only Windows

Due to system limitations and driver compatibility, Mac currently cannot view printer work logs locally on the computer. Therefore, the computer device used in the following text is Windows system.

2. Download printer driver

Open the Labelife official website and click on the printer model for which you need to download the driver. 
The following operation takes the shipping label printer PM241-BT as an example.  Use a data cable to connect the PM241-BT printer to a Windows computer. Then download the printer driver package from the website.


After the driver is downloaded, turn on the printer. Make sure the printer is turned on and the data cable is connected to the computer. Then open the downloaded driver and follow the prompts to complete the installation.   When you complete the installation of the printer driver, you can view the printer device in the control panel, and the PM241-BT printer will successfully appear in the device information.
Press "Windows" + "R" on the keyboard at the same time, enter "devmgmt.msc" in the pop-up Run window, and click "OK" to open the device manager. (As the picture shown)


3. Set "Save" to Print Work Log

After setting up the printer locally, click the computer's Control Panel, then click View devices and printers.

Click Bluetooth & devices and then Printers & scanners. Find out your printer.

Click Printer properties and then choose Tool.

Click "Save" to print the data, and then please write down the file path where the data is saved.


4. Operate the Printer to Print Label

After the printer is successfully set up on the computer, please try to operate the printer to print labels. You can open the saved label file locally on the computer and use the printer to print it; you can also download the Labelife software to edit the label file for printing.
(Make sure you successfully use the printer to issue the "print" command at least once)

5. View Printer Job Log

After the printer completes label printing, you can view the printer work log according to the saved path.

1. A video of a printer printing labels abnormally.
2. Printer work log file.
3. Order number and purchase time.
